What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Patient Service Representative position at Virginia Oral and Facial Surgery?
Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a Full-time, Insurance Follow-Up Representative to join its Billing Department. Our culture fosters family, purposeful work, individual accountability and execution. If you are interested in joining our team here are the responsibilities of the role:
- Follow up on outstanding medical and dental insurance claims
- Post, review and appeal medical and dental insurance denials.
- Post medical and dental insurance payments.
- Work with clinical sites to obtain additional information requested by the insurance company.
- Answer phone calls, research and resolve account questions.
- Supports team in a variety of tasks when needed.
Employment Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of CDT, CPT codes and ICD-10 codes.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel as well as internet and web-based tools.
- Previous insurance billing experience is a MUST, will consider medical or dental billing background.
