The ideal candidate will play a vital role with the clinical staff and has the ability to work effectively with children and their families. A Pediatric Receptionist must have exceptional communication skills to work effectively with both the children and their parents. Virginia Pediatric Group has four clinics, all with a vibrant atmosphere and a long history of pediatric care to the communities in northern Virginia. Key skills include, but are not limited to, appointment scheduling, coordination with the providers, verification of insurance, update and maintain EMR, collect payments, customer service, and the creation of a child-friendly environment. • Creation of a friendly and calm environment for both the children and the parents

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, additional training in medical office administration is preferred
• Previous experience in a pediatric office setting is preferred
• Familiarity with EMR and scheduling software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain calm

This is a full-time position with rotating Saturday shifts. (Office Hours: Monday-Friday OPENING from 7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM CLOSING from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM).

Must be able to reliably commute between each of our facilities, when needed (Fairfax/ Herndon/ Aldie/ Great Falls).

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
