The Virginia Property Insurance Association has an open underwriting position for the right candidate! The successful candidate will have some background in insurance or a willingness to learn the insurance industry with a desire for continued professional development. This individual should be self-motivated, well organized and task oriented. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ascertaining proper policy rating, and determining risk eligibility based on underwriting standards.
High School degree required. College degree preferred. Must have a professional phone demeanor and exceptional written communication skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
