Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Provides support to the Office of Academic Affairs specifically to coordinate functions including accreditation, assessment, curriculum, and policy management.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of higher education academic affairs operational functions – specifically including accreditation, assessment, curriculum review and policy management;
Applicable computer software/programs (Microsoft Office, cloud-based enterprise systems) excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to interact with people who have a wide range of talents and backgrounds;
Excellent organizational skills;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to work within general office guidelines and policies;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
Utilization of strong organizational and decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Additional Considerations
College degree with experience in higher education required; knowledge of academic affairs practices and procedures preferred.
Master’s degree from accredited institution preferred.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Travel between campuses.
