BRCC is seeking two Engagement Coaches to provide academic monitoring and support to a caseload of students enrolled in identified high-risk “gateway” courses. Part-time positions, in general, are limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no health benefits. This position is expected to work 30 hours a week, on-site, during the fall and spring semesters. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job-related training and/or certifications.

Job Duties Include
- Work with course faculty to focus on students in designated gateway courses that are exhibiting signs of academic distress or disconnection from BRCC
- Interact with students via a variety of modalities in designated gateway courses as the first line of support to provide academic skills support and coaching
- Connect students with specific college resources and personnel to address both academic and non-academic related challenges (finances, mental health, home or life challenges)
- Partner with faculty to communicate to students about course related deadlines
- Work with faculty to monitor student attendance and grades, to determine if interventions are needed to prevent a student from failing or withdrawing from their course
- Assist faculty in the promotion and tracking of supplemental instruction sessions
- Assist in the collection of assessment, outreach, and communications data
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
