The Lead Custodial Services Worker is responsible for general housekeeping functions, assisting with special setups, and serves in a lead role in the absence of the Custodial Services Supervisor on the Parham Road Campus. The Lead Custodial Services Worker may be called upon to conduct work assignments at any of the college’s locations. This position serves on the college-wide emergency team and is considered “essential personnel” for inclement weather/emergency conditions.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge and skill in proper cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply proper safety techniques to be used in day-to-day housekeeping operations.
- Ability to operate buffers, wet and dry vacuums and other housekeeping equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, and to tolerate contact with a variety of cleaning products and solutions.
- Current hands-on work experience in custodial services and custodial services experience in a school or institution-type environment are preferred.
- Experience working effectively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment is preferred. Valid driver’s license is also preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent. Training and/or related experience in housekeeping may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Selected candidate must be able to pass the college’s pre-employment security. screening.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
