Position Overview:
As a paraprofessional, you will work directly with adolescents in a structured therapeutic environment. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, provide emotional and behavioral support, and help create a safe, supportive setting for residents to grow and thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with adolescents in daily routines and activities
- Support therapeutic programs and behavioral plans
- Promote a safe and structured environment
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
- Document incidents and daily observations
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other staff
Requirements:
- Experience working with adolescents in residential, behavioral, or mental health settings is REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviors professionally
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
- Must pass background check and drug screening
