Job Description
Virginia Tech is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join LINK, Center for Advancing Partnerships, and play a vital role in advancing the university's ambitious plans to be a leading 21st-century land grant institution. The Project Coordinator, Business Analyst position will provide administrative, programmatic, and operational support to the LINK team. This position will coordinate programs and activities; act as a point of contact to internal and external parties; break projects into doable actions; establish tasks and timeframes; and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. This individual will serve as a key contributor to the university’s corporate engagement strategy by supporting partnership development, coordinating corporate visits, and engaging in business development and data analysis.
The position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners to assist in identifying and executing opportunities for mutually beneficial collaborations. This role will also conduct corporate research, develop and maintain systems to streamline office processes, and support data-driven decision-making to ensure that LINK’s data tracking, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms are effectively managed.
This position is ideal for an organized and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. The role requires a high degree of independence, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with a weekly schedule of four in-office days and one remote day. This position reports to the Associate Director, Corporate Networks.

Required Qualifications
- Related degree or equivalent training/experience
- Previous experience in project coordination, research, or business development roles
- Proficiency in utilizing software tools such as project management tools, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- Written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience, with a preference for fields such as business, marketing, research administration, or communications
- Experience working in corporate relations, career services, or nonprofit/institutional environments.
- Strong research and data analysis skills
- Familiarity with corporate outreach and engagement strategies
- Project management certifications (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or relevant training
