Virginia Tech (VT) is recruiting to fill a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level in cancer research. This new faculty position represents part of a major research initiative by VT located at our new state-of-the-art facility at the Children’s National Research and Innovation Campus in Washington DC (CNRIC) of the Children’s National Hospital (CNH). The faculty member will be part of the Cancer Research Center – DC within Virginia Tech’s Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI).
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high-quality, extramurally-funded research program.
- Participate in teaching of graduate students.
- Serve as a research mentor for VT graduate, medical, and undergraduate students.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have an earned doctorate (PhD, MD and / or DVM), postdoctoral research experience, a record of accomplishment of research productivity through high quality publications, and some record of past or preferably current extramural funding. Applicants with laboratory bench-based research and / or bioinformatics approaches will be considered.
