Exciting opportunity – located in Grand Rapids, MI come to work as a Warehouse Specialist
Day shift, no weekends and benefits.
Position Description:
- Responsible for shipping, handling, sorting, counting, and packaging of materials.
- Operates industrial powered lift equipment.
- Conducts or assists with physical inventory counts.
- Maintains work area and follows procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Unload inbound freight from carrier
- Check for shipping damage Use bar code scanners to check inbound shipments and customer orders for customer shipment
- Complete required paperwork and forward to Inventory Control
- Assist other staff in resolving discrepancies discovered in receiving
- Prepare material for shipment consistent with customers, trucker’s or driver’s requirements and balance and mark pallets
- Wrap orders on pallet for the purposes of shipment Restock warehouse according to Inventory Manager’s guidelines and practices
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred and experience operating a hi-lo, however we are willing to train the right person
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Stand up Reach Forklift experience a plus
- Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery
