Manufacturing Manager – Fabrication (Troutville)

Virginia Transformer is a leading power transformer manufacturer, committed to excellence in engineering, quality, and on-time delivery. Our Troutville METAL FAB plant plays a critical role in our operations, supporting 24 / 7 fabrication of transformer tanks, tops, brackets, and junction boxes.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager – Fabrication to oversee fabrication and junction box manufacturing at our Troutville facility. This role is responsible for resource planning, production execution, and problem-solving , ensuring a 95% on-time delivery (OTD) rate with zero defects .
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, expertise in metal fabrication, and experience managing teams in a high-paced manufacturing environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 24 / 7 operations for metal fabrication, ensuring efficient production of tanks, tops, brackets, and junction boxes.
- Lead a team of 55 employees , providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Manage daily production schedules , ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and delivery standards.
- Conduct 4-hour production meetings , identifying and mitigating delays or stoppages in the manufacturing process.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality excellence.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, welding and fabrication standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow, resolve issues, and improve overall operations.
