Manufacturing Manager - Fabrication (Troutville)
Job Overview
We seek an experienced Manufacturing Manager - Fabrication to oversee fabrication and junction box manufacturing at our Troutville facility.
This role is responsible for resource planning, production execution, and problem-solving, ensuring a 95% on-time delivery rate with zero defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 24/7 operations for metal fabrication, ensuring efficient production of tanks, tops, brackets, and junction boxes.
- Lead a team of 55 employees, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Manage daily production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and delivery standards.
- Conduct 4-hour production meetings, identifying and mitigating delays or stoppages in the manufacturing process.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality excellence.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, welding and fabrication standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow, resolve issues, and improve overall operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (BS ME/EE) required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, press operations, painting, and shot blasting applications.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams of 50 employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving, resource planning, and production management skills.
- Experience ensuring high-quality output and on-time delivery (95% OTD goal).
