Virginia Union University (VUU) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Executive Director of VUU Africa . This role will oversee the university's initiatives, partnerships, and programs within the African continent, driving VUU's mission of academic excellence, global engagement, and cultural exchange. The Executive Director will be responsible for the administration, development, and expansion of VUU Africa's presence, ensuring alignment with the university's overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance VUU Africa's academic, cultural, and business engagement in Africa.
- Establish partnerships with universities, governments, businesses, and community organizations across Africa to promote educational and economic opportunities.
- Lead efforts to create study-abroad programs, faculty exchanges, and collaborative research initiatives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of VUU Africa, ensuring efficient management of programs, resources, and staff.
- Develop and manage the budget for VUU Africa, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and local regulations governing higher education and international partnerships.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and donor contributions, to support VUU Africa's initiatives.
- Collaborate with the university's advancement team to engage alumni, philanthropists, and corporate partners in supporting VUU Africa's mission.
- Promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration between VUU and African institutions.
