Virginia Urology is a large and growing specialty physician practice that has served central Virginia for over 75 years.
We are seeking an RN/LPN for our Stony Point clinic and for our Hanover clinic.
Our nurses play a crucial and varied role in the operation of the clinic. They support a physician in clinic; provide patient treatments under the supervision of a physician; and assist patients who call with medical questions or prescription refill requests.
We require prior office nursing experience, current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing, and current CPR certification. Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital is a plus. Urology experience is preferred. In addition to clinical expertise, this position requires excellent organization and time management skills, computer proficiency, and experience working with an electronic health records system.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The office nurse will work Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a half hour for lunch, and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Friday morning. Because we hold an emergent care clinic on Friday afternoons at our Stony Point office, all our clinic nurses are scheduled to work an occasional Friday afternoon at Stony Point. Overtime is paid according to federal and state wage regulations. The ability to occasionally travel between offices is required. When traveling between offices during the workday, our employees are paid for travel time and mileage.
