What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Associate - Energy Transition position at Viridan Group?
A leading private equity firm with a longstanding track record of providing growth capital to the U.S. energy sector is seeking an Associate to join its Energy Transition team. Since inception, the firm has raised over $40 billion across 24 institutional funds and currently manages capital on behalf of more than 350 U.S. and international investors.
The firm has deep experience across the energy value chain, with sector coverage spanning renewable power, grid infrastructure, distributed energy, energy efficiency, and other critical segments of the evolving energy landscape. Its Energy Transition strategy builds on this foundation, targeting investments that enable and accelerate the shift toward a lower-carbon energy system.
The Associate will play an integral role across all stages of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio company support. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years of experience in investment banking or private equity. While direct experience in renewables or power is preferred, the team welcomes candidates with M&A exposure across adjacent sectors such as midstream, oil & gas, or broader energy infrastructure.
