Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) client is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their medical cannabis operations in Connecticut. This is a part-time, in-person role offering the opportunity to provide direct patient care while serving as a subject matter expert on cannabis pharmacology. Hours available include afternoons/evenings and weekends.

In this role, you will conduct individual consultations with patients—either virtually or in person—to help them understand their medical cannabis options. You’ll verify patient certifications and help determine appropriate therapies based on physician recommendations and your understanding of cannabis strains, formulations, potencies, and delivery methods. The goal is to support patients in making informed decisions that align with their healthcare needs.
You’ll also ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations set forth by the Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program. Staying current on the evolving research around cannabis and its therapeutic applications will be an important part of this role, as will participating in education and outreach to healthcare providers.
Candidates must currently reside in Connecticut and hold an active state pharmacist license. A BS in Pharmacy is required, with a Doctorate or Pharm.D. preferred. At least two years of experience in a customer-facing pharmacy setting is expected. This position involves working collaboratively with patients, colleagues, healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and members of the public. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and clinical or research experience is considered a plus.
