Position Summary:
This position will support production by forming parts for production lines on time per a daily build
schedule and will work closely with the PCA to deliver the parts needed. The ability to operate a
forklift, read and understand blueprints, understanding of the scheduling systems and ability to
follow written and verbal instructions is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC press brake forming parts to match the drawings while maintaining accuracy
- Occasionally operate manual machine tools.
- Must read, interpret and understand blueprints for components being produced.
- Measure and examine completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance
- Sort formed parts onto pallets, into bins, or in other designated storage locations.
- Work with the Parts Control Area (PCA) to ensure delivery methods and timing work for
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform assigned equipment maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) and keep
- Safely operate a forklift to load brake and transfer parts.
- Inform Department Lead of any other concerns that may arise.
- Work as a team-member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; basic math skills required.
- Mechanical experience.
- Forklift and hoist experience required.
- Ability to operate pneumatic and hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow instructions both written and verbal.
- Ability to read a tape measure and a protractor to perform accurate measurements per
- Ability to pay close attention to details and maintain data integrity to a high degree.
- Good communication skills (verbal, listening, written).
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs, bend, twist, stand or sit for long periods, endure repetitive
