Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role involves coordinating activities related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of good.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate warehouse team member to achieve productivity and performance goals.
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure optimal workflow.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits and stock counts.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze workflow and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety training and enforce adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and employee performance.
- Prepare report for management regarding warehouse operations, performance metrics, and inventory status.
- Address and resolve any operation issues or employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Virtex Quality Policy through accountable action.
- Responsible for compliance to the Virtex Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.
- Act as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted.
- Accountable to accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Virtex employees and/or any outside service.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a relate field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Electronics experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Due to ITAR Restrictions, US Citizenship or green card is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory systems.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed, including weekends.
