EEG position for the Neuro ICU wing at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes.
Experience with NATUS LTM end EPIC preferred. EMG and Evoked potential experience not required or performed. Location varies as needed. Additional remote monitoring responsibilities required if schedule permits.
Summary:
The neurology technologist is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (EEG, EMG, Evoked Potential) as ordered by a physician for patients from neonatal to geriatric age.
This individual will provide clinical oversight for non-registered technicians performing EEG procedures.
In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.
Position Responsibilities:
A minimum of one year adult and pediatric neurology experience preferred must be in a clinical setting.
EMG and Evoked Potential experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of digital EEG systems preferred.
Experience with LTM
Required Education:
High school education.
College education preferred.
Graduate of accredited EEG program.
EEG registry required within one year of employment.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
BLS.
EEG registry required within one year of hire.

- Performs various types of electroencephalogram studies.
- Obtains patient history from medical record, documents information in digital EEG system. Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.
- Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems. Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.
- Provides clinical oversight for unregistered EEG technicians. Ensures and measures the clinical quality of EEG procedures performed.
