Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm - or - 8am to 4:30pm.
Call is every 4th week.
Job Summary:
Coordinates and oversees all activities of the department to include patient flow, technical scheduling and ordering of supplies for the Department. Performs procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards and ensures competency of staff. Supports the Virtua Mission and Vision Statement and upholds the values of integrity, respect, caring, commitment, teamwork and excellence. Adheres to all Virtua policies and procedures and maintains a customer focus and promotes patient and employee satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing daily activities within assigned department to maintain patient flow, keep technical staff productivity to a maximum and assure that service provided is of the highest clinical quality. Assists in keeping department within budgetary guidelines to include appropriate staffing levels. Performs Interventional Radiology procedures on all patient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and troubleshoots and addresses any equipment/computer systems technical issues which may arise during procedures.
Supports individual and departmental achievement using recognition methods.
Assists Director/Manager with pertinent feedback for the completion of Best People Reviews and competencies for staff members and help to deal with inappropriate employee behavior or actions in a direct and confidential manner.
Obtains appropriate documentation from technical staff to ensure compliance with state and national licensing/accrediting agencies as well as compliance with all of Virtua’s policies and compliance requirements to include Safety Training, PPD, Fit Testing, HIPAA, Corporate Compliance and JCAHO.
Provides new employee orientation within the department and clarifies performance expectations with employees and provides ongoing feedback on a regular basis.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology
Required Education: 2-year degree from accredited Radiology program.
Training / Certification / Licensure: Possession of NJ ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) License · CPR certification.
