Position Responsibilities
Demonstrates comprehensive evaluation skills and interventions. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and modification of plan of care as appropriate. Therapist will meet IEP mandates per student.
Maintains and completes all student documentation, records and reports ensuring they are educationally based, timely, thorough and professional. All documentation must be in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
Consults with student’s child study team, teacher, family, paraprofessionals, district and non-district therapists, CST staff, contract coordinator, supervisors and offsite director to provide optimum quality patient care and effective operations.
Attend and participate in required meetings including school team meetings, student IEP meetings, required CST meetings and any other required meeting. Will be flexible and adjust schedule to accommodate without negative impact to student treatment time/schedule.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience: Educationally based pediatric experience preferred
Required Education: Master’s degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology or Bachelor’s Degree in speech language pathology/communication disorders/speech correctionist.
Training / Certification / Licensure:
Current licensure in the State of NJ or Speech Language Specialist Certification or completed Department of Education approved retraining program certification.
CPR certification
School certification by the NJ Department of Education
Valid driver's license may be required.
