About the Job
We are seeking a Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Virtual Employee Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized, and that all equipment is functioning properly.
Job Summary
This position requires someone with excellent organizational skills, who can work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail. If you have prior experience in a restaurant setting and are knowledgeable about proper kitchen sanitation procedures, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items according to departmental policies and procedures.
* Properly store and stock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware from dish machine.
* Maintain proper temperatures and chemicals while running the dish machine.
* Stock serving stations with plates and utensils.
* Properly clean and sanitize work area during and after shift.
* Remove garbage and clean garbage cans as needed.
* Sweep and mop floors and coolers as directed by supervisor.
* Remove cardboard as needed from kitchen area.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Prior restaurant experience preferred.
* Strong written and oral communication skills required.
* Excellent customer service skills required.
* Must be able to work well in a team environment.
* Knowledge of proper kitchen sanitation preferred.
