POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for processing all new home equity and mortgage applications from the time of submission to the time of clear to close.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Provide administrative support to MLO / FSR including updating loan data in the LOS, validating documents they submit and reviewing the file for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Prepare and send disclosures for both home equity and mortgage applications with TRID regulation timeframes
- Review system application and documents loaded for accuracy when submitting a home equity or mortgage for initial underwriter review
- Contact third parties to request required documents such as Appraisal, Title, Flood Certification, Tax Transcripts, Mortgage Insurance, pull Property Access Card if tax bills are not included.
- Proactively follow up with MLOs and third parties to ensure timely receipt of conditions as established by service level agreements.
- Obtain and submit mortgage conditions within parameters set forth by the Underwriter in order to attain a clear to close.
- Ability to interpret credit report, appraisal, title and DU findings.
- Manage digital and hard files by scanning and verifying documents in the imaging system.
- Perform responsibilities of position in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as credit union policies and procedures.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Recommend changes to improve workflow, efficiencies and quality.
- Meet Core Comp Requirements.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification : Some college preferred plus two to three years experience in home equity processing; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Experience Required : Using PC based software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Processing home equities, processing mortgages, reviewing basic loan documentation; Fannie Mae experience is preferred
Skills / Abilities : Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize a steady stream of incoming tasks. Must project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Must be team oriented. Excellent communication skills.
