Location: New Jersey (1 North and 1 South)
Looking for a residential person for the DC side – solar installer – Can they get on roofs and aren’t afraid of heights.
They will get a work van to drive – good DL, good background check.

  • This role is designed to provide hands-on learning opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in solar energy maintenance. The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced technicians, assisting in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist experienced technicians in inspecting solar energy systems and identifying potential issues.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and repair technical problems, including electrical and mechanical components, under supervision.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and parts used.
  • Help maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Operate a company-issued vehicle responsibly and assist with equipment transportation.
  • Engage in ongoing education about solar technology trends and best practices.
  • Operate a company-issued vehicle with respect and integrity.
  • Provide excellent customer support during site visits or over the phone, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned by management, such as climbing on roofs for inverter replacement and system removals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the solar field as a DC side installer.
  • Interest in solar energy systems and eagerness to learn technical and maintenance skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems or mechanical systems is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and contribute to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to develop problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel to different worksites as required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical or vocational training in solar energy, electrical work, or related fields is a plus.
  • Manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,500.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Salary : $45,000 - $47,500
