Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying leads, which results in scheduled discovery meetings for the sales team. This role will also be tasked with generating referrals through our existing client base.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the growth and success of Virtual IT by:
- Creating awareness of Virtual IT via press releases, social media and videos
- Executing marketing campaigns via email, direct mail and drops
- Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Attending networking events hosted by Virtual IT and other affiliated groups
- Develop and implement a referral program for current clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in our markets
- Present our company to potential clients
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and the Sales Team
- Report to Sales & Marketing Lead on weekly/monthly/quarterly sales results
- All other duties/responsibilities as assigned
How You Will Be Measured:
- Ability to identify and communicate with qualified business prospects
- Ability to achieve quotas on number of emails sent, number of calls made, number of meetings booked and other assigned activities
- Ability to schedule qualified discovery meetings for the sales team
- Ability to develop and execute a business development plan that includes networking, canvasing, cold calling, social media and a referral program
Other Requirements:
· Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
· Real-life experience with multiple sales techniques to include cold calls, direct mail, and live networking
· Track record of achieving sales quotas
· Experience with CRM software (e.g. Keap)
· Understanding of sales performance metrics
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Ability to deliver engaging presentations
· Hours of Work: flexible, (however responsibilities must always be met/exceeded ) Monday through Friday
· Additional hours required as needed or as directed by the Sales & Marketing Lead
