Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented contractor proctors to assist with administering the Georgia Milestones testing. Proctors will work under the supervision of the Test Examiner and must be available each testing day within the designated window. This role ensures the integrity and security of the testing process while providing a supportive environment for students.
Requirements:
- Must be within driving distance of one of the designated testing locations.
- Must submit to and receive a clear background check.
- Completion of all required GaDOE assessment and test security training.
- Participation in all local training related to test administration, test security, and ethical behavior.
Job Responsibilities:
Communication Requirements:
- Communicate with the School Test Coordinator (SchTC), Special Education Lead Teacher, and/or ESOL Coordinator regarding student accessibility and accommodations (IEP/IAP and ELTPC plans).
- Ensure student rosters and test tickets are accurate before test administration.
Test Security Requirements:
- Assume responsibility for assigned students.
- Assist the Test Examiner in enforcing calculator, cell phone, and electronic device guidelines.
- Help account for all classroom test materials and ensure their return to the SchTC via the Test Examiner.
- Support the Test Examiner in maintaining strict test security protocols.
Testing Environment Requirements:
- Monitor specific areas in large testing sites.
- Oversee online test administrations and report any technology or student issues to the Test Examiner.
- Assist in preparing and distributing test materials under Test Examiner supervision.
- Ensure that desks are cleared of everything except test materials.
- Collect classroom test materials following testing.
- Answer questions regarding test procedures but do not provide explanations or assistance with test content.
- Remain in the testing site for the entire duration of the exam.
- Observe students to ensure active engagement in the assessment.
- Avoid standing too long near students' desks or making physical contact to prevent distractions.
Monitoring Testing Irregularities:
- Ensure students use only authorized test materials and do not access unauthorized online sites.
- Report any suspicions of cheating or unusual circumstances to the Test Examiner immediately.
- Circulate among students to discourage misconduct and be available for procedural questions.
- Provide close monitoring for students with disabilities, 504 plans, or EL students who require additional assistance.
Compensation: Proctors will be compensated at a rate of $150 per day.
