Opportunity: Virtual Service Operations is searching for highly motivated and career-driven individuals to join our growing team as a Desktop Support Linux Technician in Tucson, Arizona. In this role you would be a part of our growing relationship with one of our great clients and have responsibilities in Desktop Support such as:
- Managing IT Systems: Overseeing the administration of IT systems, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
- Desktop Administration: Providing support for desktop systems, ensuring their smooth operation, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining security.
- Heterogeneous Environment: Handling a diverse environment that includes both Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux platforms.
- Linux Support: Emphasizing support for Linux systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Linux Certified
- Certified Dell Technician
- Certified CompTIA A or Network
- MCSA Certification
- Windows Certification
- Expertise in Inventory Control
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full Linux stack Experience
- Must be within driving distance of Tucson, Arizona and willing to work onsite
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs or ramps
- Must be able to kneel and work under desks or in confined spaces
