Opportunity:

Virtual Service Operations is seeking a Palo Alto NGFW Network Engineer and Team Lead to join our Palo Alto professional services team in Brooklyn, NY. This hybrid role requires candidates to work 2-3 days per week on-site. In this role, you will provide guidance and technical support to clients deploying our security integrations. You’ll act as the technical partner, providing strategic guidance around complex systems to secure a digital environment. Interacting directly with the client, you’ll partner closely with client personnel to guide and suggest integrations to better serve their success. Your thorough understanding of our product integrations contributes to the development of new principles and concepts – providing detailed analysis around what’s working, what’s not, and what could be better.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto Network Security Platform products, including firewalls, Panorama, and other related solutions.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure successful project delivery and team development.
• Develop comprehensive network security architectures and solutions based on Palo Alto best practices and industry standards.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of network traffic and security logs to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Configure and optimize Palo Alto firewall policies to enforce security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and end users.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and develop customized solutions to address them.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Palo Alto Network Security Platform products and technologies.

Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience deploying Palo Alto networking products and NGFW
• 4 years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams of network security engineers.
• Extensive experience deploying and managing Palo Alto Network Security Platform products in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
• Palo Alto Networks certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience designing and implementing network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network security issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Experience with Zscaler, PRISM, and/or Appgate

Requirements

• Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status
• Minimum of 6 years experience deploying Palo Alto Networking Products
• Minimum of 6 years experience with NGFW
• Minimum of 4 years experience as a Team Lead

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
