Responsibilities/Job Functions:
Supply Chain Operations:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to maintain quality standards
- Oversee inventory levels to meet production and customer demand while minimizing excess stock
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to prevent shortages and overages
- Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs and align inventory strategies
- Coordinate and monitor transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely shipments
- Optimize shipping and distribution networks to minimize costs and improve delivery efficiency
- Address and resolve any shipping or delivery issues promptly
- Work closely with internal departments, including production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain processes with business goals
- Communicate supply chain plans and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain-related inquiries and escalations
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to supply chain operations
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including potential disruptions and quality issues
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM, or ISM CPSM)
- Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.]
- Familiarity with lean or Six Sigma principles to drive process improvement
- Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools
