Position Description :
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the configuration, operation, and documentation of the Windows and Cloud servers, networks, system administration, and desktop engineering at all company locations, . This includes servers used for internal production, SaaS production, test and development servers for all systems, Office 365 administration and engineering, Intune, Azure engineering and administration, and other system and software rollouts. The role will be involved in solution selection and architecture of systems areas with the Manager of Infrastructure. While the role is primarily focused on systems, occasional work on desktop escalations are also required. In addition to supporting key business initiatives by implementing secure and reliable infrastructure solutions, the Systems Engineer will be accountable for the system health, cyber-security, and disaster-readiness of all of TSG’s infrastructure systems.
Focus Area : WAN / Public Cloud - Currently using GCP, AWS, Oracle and Azure. Azure experience prefered - all others are a bonus
Hardware / Programs : Uses Cisco currently, Palo Alto firewalls, Citrix NetScaler for load balancing.
On-call expectation - For the first 3 months they do not participate in on-call; On call a week at a time, covering off hours during the week then the weekend. One week per month until contractor leaves - then rotates between 3 engineers.
