What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Virtual?
Responsibilities :
- Direct and oversee the month end close functions of the company.
- Financial reporting
- Work directly with the leaders to report timely and accurate financial reports
- Maintain and report against annual budgets and multi-year forecasts. Perform timely analysis of budget / forecast variances and financial trends.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with
- GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Monthly reconciliation of subledgers and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and file timely and accurate payroll, sales, income or other tax returns and reports and related deposits.
- Strive for continuous process improvement within the department
