What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst/Scientist position at Virtual?
Data Analyst / Scientist , must be able to do engineering not just the basic analysis. Can sit remote, preference is always someone within driving distance
- 20-25 hours a week to start, flexible with times but must be able to have some overlap with the current team so they can collaborate. (Can’t be like midnight – 7am)
- Python / Data heavy
- This person needs to be able to take multiple pricing data sources, marry that with historical pricing / buying data to help predict upcoming prices. How much we buy and the cost of using a truck to ship things from point a to b. They need to build out internal tools to help with analysis and then provide outputs to inform decision making.
- Logistics / 3PL / Trucking experience
- Implement pricing recommendations
- Taking historical data and building out pricing engine for a couple different systems
