What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineer position at Virtual?

Responsibilities :

Assembling mixed sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing

infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual

processes.

Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from

various data sources using a combination of technologies.

Building analytical tools to use the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business

performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.

Working with data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related

technical issues.

Supervise and manage pipelines while also communicating any issues to partners and teams.

Fix technical issues and maintain automation processes.

Minimum Qualifications :

BS Engineering and / or Data Analytics preferred

5 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering

Deep understanding of RDBMS, ORDBMS, and other large DBMS systems.

Deep understanding of REST protocol, JSON data structure, SQL technologies and syntax.

Hands-on experience with ETL.

Understanding of privacy and compliance practices around data (GDPR, CCPA)

Proven ability to research, test, and implement new technologies

Experience with Google App Scripts, Python, and other scripting technologies

Experience with agile methodologies and working iteratively

Ability to communicate with a variety of different levels of audiences, effective communication

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with machine learning

Understanding of business operations / finance / game development

Experience building front end software services

Experience with Tableau or other BI tools

Schedule Requirements :

Monday - Friday Standard Business Hours
