At Virtual, we're seeking an experienced Financial Operations Director to lead our General Accounting functions. This role is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a standard manufacturing environment as an Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Cost Accountant. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance is required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling monthly ledger accounts, establishing accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring proper internal controls are maintained. Additionally, they will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reporting packages. Experience with Large ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, including Excel, is essential.
In this role, you'll also monitor and manage Raw material, Work-in-process, and Finished goods inventory, providing adjustments as needed. You'll be responsible for monitoring standard costs for each product, analyzing reports like Inventory, cost absorptions, and variances, and implementing process improvements. Participating in the company's continuous improvement projects to identify opportunities and implement cost-saving objectives is also a key responsibility.
