Grant Accountant – On-Site Role (Miami, FL)
Vaco is partnering with a well-known non-profit organization to hire a Grant Accountant for an on-site position in Miami, FL . This critical role supports the organization’s financial integrity and grant management while contributing to budgeting, auditing, and overall operational success.
Position Summary :
As a Grant Accountant , you will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional departments to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and align with the organization’s goals. Your responsibilities will span across accounts payable / receivable, reconciliation, financial reporting, grant management, and budgeting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Accounts Payable and Receivable :
- Process payments to vendors, ensuring appropriate account assignments.
- Manage the vendor purchasing and invoicing system.
- Issue checks to vendors and process scholarship requests.
Reconciliation and Financial Reporting :
Grant Management :
Budgeting and Auditing :
Fixed Assets and Tax Compliance :
Bank Liaison and Cash Flow Management :

Qualifications and Skills :
Education and Experience :
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience , preferably in a non-profit organization.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Raisers Edge, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
