Job Summary :
- Technical Leadership : Mentor, coach, and lead software engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Technical Innovation : Building on a culture of continuous improvement and learning, drive technical learning to enhance the organization's technological capabilities. Encourage a hypothesis-driven, try-and-learn approach to engineering fostering a growth mindset in our engineering team members. Evaluate and recommend new development tools, frameworks, and methodologies in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Developer Experience teams to improve efficiency, security, and quality of software engineering processes.
- Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other Lead Engineers, Software Engineering teams and Developer Experience teams to ensure a seamless development process. Partner to develop and evolve engineering standards to improve engineering quality, security, and efficiency of the engineering teams. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide insights into the technical aspects of project planning and execution.
- Code Quality and Security Assurance : Implement and enforce coding standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable code. Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams.
- Development Practices : Collaborate with multiple teams to define and champion best practices for software development, including version control, continuous integration, and deployment processes. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement process improvements. Ensure proper maintenance of applications is taking place.
- Application Design Oversight : Provide leadership in the design of software applications, ensuring alignment with application, solution and enterprise architecture standards, business goals, and scalability requirements. Collaborate with project teams to review and approve technical designs, providing guidance on optimal implementation approaches.
