Overall Responsibilities
The Production Planner & Data Analyst is responsible for coordinating cross-functional efforts to collect, manage, and analyze production and supply chain data to optimize planning processes. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of master data, facilitates data-driven decision-making, and streamlines production planning to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance. The role also involves troubleshooting discrepancies in data and resolving system-related errors that impact production scheduling and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain production schedules to align with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain constraints.
Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing teams to optimize production timelines and resource allocation.
Monitor capacity planning, lead times, and material availability to prevent bottlenecks and minimize disruptions.
Analyze production trends and performance data to recommend improvements in planning and efficiency.
Data Analysis & Master Data Management
Collect, validate, and maintain critical master data (e.g., Bill of Materials, production work orders, inventory records) in ERP systems.
Ensure data integrity by identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to minimize errors in production, inventory, and procurement systems.
Support the transition and integration of data into new systems while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into production performance, supply chain metrics, and inventory levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven process improvements in production planning and inventory control.
Train and educate teams on best practices in master data management and production planning.
Ensure adherence to business processes and data governance policies to support accurate and efficient operations.
Partner with business leaders to drive strategic initiatives that improve production flow and reduce costs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or data analysis within a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for production planning and master data management.
Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools to interpret and present key performance metrics.
Experience with process mapping, implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.
Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing industry is a plus.
