Job Title : Senior Project Manager - Construction
Job Summary
Vaco is working with a Construction company that needs an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven experience in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and resources.
Team Leadership and Coordination
Lead project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project goals.Foster a collaborative work environment and resolve conflicts effectively.Budget and Cost Management
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within established limits.Approve expenditures, analyze financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with procurement teams for vendor selection and contract negotiation.Risk and Quality Management
Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues proactively.Client and Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions.Address client feedback and implement necessary changes.Qualifications and Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Experience : Minimum of 5 years in construction project management or a related role.Certifications : PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar is preferred.Skills :Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.Work Environment
