Virtus Health is a well established, privately owned leading provider of ABA therapy specializing in services for those affected by Autism (ASD) or other developmental delays and behavioral diagnoses.

The Outreach & Referral Specialist position is responsible for driving client growth by reaching new clients in need of Virtus Health’s services through fostering strong relationships with referral sources, connecting directly with parents, planning and executing impactful community events, and supporting the company’s business development initiatives. This position works collaboratively with the Intake, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure a steady pipeline of clients and maintain the company’s reputation as a trusted provider of ABA services. The position is based out of our Corporate Offices in Sarasota, Florida reporting to the Director of Development.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with parents and key referral sources, including pediatricians, schools, daycare providers, therapists, and other community organizations;
  • Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to increase referrals in alignment with personal and departmental KPIs and company goals;
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals;
  • Provide referral sources with updated educational materials, company information, and resources to promote the company’s services;
  • Schedule and attend regular meetings, presentations, and sessions with referral sources to strengthen partnerships;
  • Track referral trends, analyze data, and identify areas for growth or improvement;
  • Act as the company’s representative at events, engaging with attendees and promoting services;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts through metrics and feedback, reporting outcomes to the Director of Development;
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Intake teams to align outreach efforts with client acquisition goals;
  • Partner with clinical leadership to understand service offerings and tailor messaging for referral sources;
  • Serve as a liaison between referral sources and internal teams, ensuring timely follow-ups and excellent service;
  • Maintain a detailed database of referral sources, including contact information, outreach activities, and engagement history.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of referral development, community outreach, or event planning, preferably in healthcare or ABA services;
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines;
  • Proficient in CRM platforms and data tracking tools;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment;
  • Willing to travel to attend events, be present in the community, and meet with parents and referral sources frequently.
