CT Technologist - Per Diem

Location: Phoenixville, PA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our partner hospital in Phoenixville, PA, on a per diem basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise in computed tomography (CT) imaging while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT Scans: Conduct CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate patient positioning, proper technique selection, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Image Acquisition and Processing: Operate CT scanners and related equipment with proficiency, adjusting settings and techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure. Process and evaluate images, identifying any potential issues or artifacts.
• Contrast Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media as prescribed, following established safety protocols and monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including technical factors, patient history, and any relevant observations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of a post-high school diploma program in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Relevant experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
• Certifications/Licensure:
  • BLS Certification
  • RT (R) (ARRT) or RT (R) (CT) (ARRT) or RT (N) (CT) (ARRT)

Schedule:

• Per Diem: 48 hours in a 6-week schedule, on-call, and holiday rotation.
