Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our partner, a 202-bed skilled nursing facility in Dallastown, PA.
Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to address a variety of patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment & Treatment Planning:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify impairments, functional limitations, and activity limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education.
- Clinical Skills:
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills in areas such as gait training, balance training, and functional mobility assessments.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold packs as appropriate.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
- Physical Therapist license for the State of PA
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- Weekend rotation required
