Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy treatment plans for patients with a variety of conditions. They will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical function, limitations, and goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercise prescription, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices and research.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Physical Therapy license in Maine or proof of license eligibility.
- Education:
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
- Experience: Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
