In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients regain their mobility, function, and overall well-being through personalized treatment plans and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate patient conditions, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals.
- Therapy Implementation: Provide hands-on therapy, exercise instruction, and utilize modalities like heat, cold, or ultrasound to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance strength.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Patient Education: Empower patients and their families by educating them on exercise techniques, home programs, and self-management strategies to support recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current State Licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a practicing PT in a healthcare setting.
