As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the clinical and operational functions of the Open Heart (CVOR) unit. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient assignments, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor and develop staff members through coaching, education, and performance evaluations.
- Manage unit budgets and resources effectively.
- 2 years of recent acute care Charge Nurse Open Heart RN (CVOR) experience
- Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained before employment start date)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- BSN or equivalent
- Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
