As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Emergency Department, you will serve as a clinical expert and leader, providing guidance and mentorship to the nursing team. You will champion evidence-based practices, lead quality improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Expertise: Provide expert consultation and guidance to nurses and other healthcare professionals in the ED.
- Education and Training: Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, efficiency, and satisfaction.
- Research: Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in emergency nursing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing staff.
- Required:
- Master's Degree in Nursing with a clinical focus from an accredited school of nursing.
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- 3 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Preferred:
- Experience in teaching adult learners.
- Previous Clinical Nurse Specialist experience.
