Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in the BMT program, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
• Maintain clinical competency as a BMT Nurse Clinician and serve as a key resource for hematology and transplant care.
• Oversee daily operations of the Stem Cell Transplant program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
• Coordinate pre-admission workups and manage continuity of care for transplant patients.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for clinical services.
• Ensure adherence to Joint Commission, FDA, and state accreditation requirements.
• Lead FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) preparation and process, including site visits.
• Mentor and provide ongoing education for staff.
• Collaborate across inpatient and outpatient teams to enhance seamless patient care.
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to optimize treatment plans.
• Monitor financial reports and balance quality with cost efficiency.
• Manage BMT program marketing efforts and collaborate on long-term strategic planning.
• Oversee pre-authorizations, pre-certifications, and reimbursement processes.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure & Certification

• Active Washington RN License (upon hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (upon hire)
  
  

Experience

• Previous clinical RN experience in a specialized or tertiary care setting
• Experience in hematology, oncology, or transplant nursing preferred
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification

Experience with CIBMTR & ASBMT data reporting
