Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care in the BMT program, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
- Maintain clinical competency as a BMT Nurse Clinician and serve as a key resource for hematology and transplant care.
- Oversee daily operations of the Stem Cell Transplant program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Coordinate pre-admission workups and manage continuity of care for transplant patients.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for clinical services.
- Ensure adherence to Joint Commission, FDA, and state accreditation requirements.
- Lead FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) preparation and process, including site visits.
- Mentor and provide ongoing education for staff.
- Collaborate across inpatient and outpatient teams to enhance seamless patient care.
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to optimize treatment plans.
- Monitor financial reports and balance quality with cost efficiency.
- Manage BMT program marketing efforts and collaborate on long-term strategic planning.
- Oversee pre-authorizations, pre-certifications, and reimbursement processes.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure & Certification
- Active Washington RN License (upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (upon hire)
- Previous clinical RN experience in a specialized or tertiary care setting
- Experience in hematology, oncology, or transplant nursing preferred
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification
Experience with CIBMTR & ASBMT data reporting
