Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Newberg, OR

Shift: Full-Time Nights

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical center's Emergency Department (ED) in Newberg, OR. This full-time, night shift position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt and efficient care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies.
• Perform comprehensive triage assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and closely monitor patient response.
• Administer medications and treatments, including emergency procedures and life-saving interventions, as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families during stressful situations, providing compassionate support and education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in emergency nursing practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• Certifications:
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience, with emergency department experience preferred.
