About The Role

Lead and manage the nursing team in a fast-paced Free Standing ER. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a dedication to creating a positive and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality care, and fostering teamwork. This position requires flexibility to float between the Free Standing ER and the Main Campus ER as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the nursing staff in the Free Standing ER.
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
• Ensure adherence to the highest standards of patient care and safety protocols.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
• Implement performance improvement initiatives and stay abreast of best practices in emergency care.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing (or multi-state compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia) (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
• BSN (Required) - MSN (Preferred)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• PALS and ACLS within 6 months post-hire (Required)
• TNCC certification (Preferred)
• Prior ER experience (Required)
• 3 years of recent acute care ER unit experience (Required)
• ER Manager/Coordinator/Charge Nurse experience (Required)
• Willingness to float between the Free Standing and Main Campus ER (Required)
