Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the OR staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and competency.
- Manage the OR schedule, optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards, maintaining a safe and effective surgical environment.
- Promote quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and outcomes.
- Implement hospital policies and procedures within the OR department.
- Manage the department's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effective operations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in perioperative nursing.
- BSN preferred or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain within six months).
- Lead a dynamic and passionate OR team in a supportive and collaborative environment.
