Job Details
Test Planning & Documentation
- Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain test scenarios, scripts, and documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with business and functional requirements.
Manual Functional Testing Execution
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing manually.
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Validate fixes and perform retesting and regression testing before software releases.
- Execute end-to-end testing to ensure proper workflow and business process functionality.
- Defect Management & Reporting
- Investigate and document software defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Generate test reports, defect analysis, and coverage metrics for management and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Provide feedback on requirements, UX/UI, and system behavior.
- Contribute to process improvements and enhance testing methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 5 years of experience in manual functional testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM, etc.).
- Familiarity with SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience testing web applications, mobile apps, and APIs is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
