Job Title: Material Planner
Location: Elyria, OH 44035
Duration: 06 Months
General Summary:
Under general guidance of the Materials Manager, this position is responsible for working directly with the production team to ensure efficient and effective movement of materials. They are required maintain accurate planning parameters, schedule, and prioritize work orders, troubleshoot issues with management, review inventory and process documentation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and communicate Daily/Weekly production plan
- Review Work orders and prioritize accordingly to ensure smooth production flow
- Works directly with Business Unit Managers and supervisors to ensure proper plant prioritization
- Review unreleased work orders to determine root cause
- Review and update Planning parameters based on PFEP and plant need
- Monitor supermarkets and prioritize production
- Review blocking orders and create actions to reduce
- Work with inventory control to maintain accurate system inventories
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-5 years Inventory Control experience including Materials Planning and Procurement in a fast-paced plant procurement environment.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills are critical.
- Excel
- Occasionally lift and manoeuvre 30lbs.
- Perform complex and varied tasks that require independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, and the exercise of judgement.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Preferred
- Experience in implementing or using JDE strongly desired.
- Experience in warehouse distribution and working with a Global supply chain

Physical Requirements:
- Normally assigned to an office environment; will be required to work a substantial amount of time in the factory environment. Uses computer daily; interfaces with other employees and outside visitors by e-mail, telephone, mail and /or in person. Is required to wear safety shoes within the factory environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $33.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
